This little book is as charming as it is clever. In just 30 recipes. Sarala Terpstra shows how some of the greatest French classics can be modernized for vegan diets. A few, like Carrot Soup, require just a few adjustments while others are reengineered from a plant-based foundation. This book talked to me on a personal level. Like me, Sarala is not French, but has been in love with French culture for years. She shows her love of all things French through her cooking. Me too!
A great starting point - and my personal favorite - is the Salade Niçoise. If you enjoy French bistro food (or plats à la grandmère for that matter), you can't go wrong with this little gem of a cookbook.
