Many cooks will tell you that a stainless steel whisk is the only way to go. Silicone whisks can bend and can to be difficult to clean.
I tend to agree with this thinking, except ... I can't use a steel whisk in my non-stick pans. Whether heating a sauce or scrambling an egg, a silicone whisk can make the job much easier! Save the stainless steel whisk for heavy duty tasks like whipping cream or egg whites; add a silicone whisk to your gadget drawer so that you don't ruin your non-stick pans.
